Majority of hematopoietic progenitor cells both in full-term placenta (A) and umbilical cord blood (B) remains uncommitted, however, in placental tissue we found more amount of differentiated cells that include myeloid, later myeloid, erythroid, B-lymphoid, T-lymphoid and Natural Killer Cells-progenitors, also T-lymphocytes at the different stages of maturation. Placental hematopoietic progenitor cells (C) have similar potential for differentiation in vitro in comparison with cord blood ones (D).
